• Justin Timberlake took his love for Tom Ford one step further overnight by attending the designer's Autumn/Winter 2013 show at London Fashion Week. JT, who was styled by Ford for his latest album, was joined by his new wife Jessica Biel who was fashion week appropriately dressed in staple chic black. [Styleite]
• H&M is branching out with yet another new brand, & Other Stories. Launched by the same company behind Hennes & Mauritz and COS, the exciting new label will open its doors on Regent Street on March 8. The crux of the brand is that it bypasses fast fashion trends, instead focussing on four style tribes or 'stories,' which will change from season to season. • Victoria Beckham has joined the judging panel for the 2013 International Woolmark Prize. Proving herself a worthy contender amongst her other panelists, including Diane von Furstenberg and Franca Sozzani, Beckham attended the ceremony on Saturday night. • A trailer for Natalie Portman's upcoming short film to promote Miss Dior's latest fragrance campaign titled, La Vie En Rose (watch below). She also spoke about the Duchess of Cambridge's make-up, adding: "I think she's got a problem with eye make-up. The sharp line around her eyes makes her look hard. NFL Draft 2013: DT Bennie Logan scouting report

While most of the DT talk, in terms of finding a guy in the draft to generate a pass-rush from the 3 technique spot, has revolved around guys like Star Lotulelei, Sheldon Richardson and Sharrif Floyd, one name that hasn't gotten a lot of attention is LSU's Bennie Logan.

Logan has been on my radar since the beginning of the year, when I scouted the UW/LSU contest and noticed a guy with length, quickness and speed that reminded me of Chicago's Henry Melton - who many know I have championed as a guy Seattle should go after in Free Agency if they aren't convinced they'll be able to find some interior pass rush among this year's draft crop.

At 6'3, and right around 300 lbs, Logan possesses ideal size for the 3 technique, to go with flexibility, burst and length to create and close in space, and has demonstrated such natural ability in his limited playing time at LSU.

Here's my updated scouting report on him:

Positives: Thick frame with long arms and powerful lower half. Gets arms extended off the snap and uses hands well to keep his frame clean. Utilizes low center of gravity to bull rush and collapse the pocket from the inside. Impressive hand quickness to swat and clear. Good burst to close on space in front of him. Maintains backfield vision while engaged, and disengages nicely to close the running lane to either side.

Quickness and punch of a 3-technique, but exhibits awareness and anchoring strength to be a 2-gap player as well. Stays low off the snap and displays good bend to absorb impact. Appears to lack "plus" lateral quickness. Will get turned around with his back to his opponent when rushing, and can be taken out of the play altogether.

Negatives: Isn't very powerful in his upper body, struggling to throw defenders off his frame when locked on.Has a tendency to lose leverage/position and doesn't look nearly as powerful when asked to pinch/squeeze down and move his opponent laterally, as he does in a straight line. Appears to take the occasional play off from an effort standpoint, and technically, resorts to bull-rushing more frequently than he should considering his other natural gifts. Isn't very instinctive or aware against the run.

NFL Comparison: Henry Melton, DT, Chicago Bears - Logan has ideal quickness, athleticism and flexibility to be an effective interior rusher from the 3-technique spot. He's still raw and inconsistent when asked to hold position or defend the run, but further technical coaching could help mold him into an extremely disruptive interior force, as there are no apparent limitations in terms of natural tools.

Considering his inexperience and that he isn't the size/speed combo that some of the bigger names in the draft are, we could see Logan slip as far as the 3rd round potentially, where he could be a tremendous value for a team looking for an interior sack threat with starter upside.

Seahawks Fit: Logan has the upside to be a starting 3-technique DT, and possesses the combination of athleticism, length and size that John Schneider and Pete Carroll rave about. He's raw, but would give better immediate pass-rush from the interior than any of Mebane, Branch or McDonald, and could find himself in the rotation quickly, as Scruggs did last season. Logan has more interior value than Scruggs though considering his size, and has upside that could make him an every-down player within a couple of years.

If Seattle opts not to trade up for a Richardson or Floyd in the first round (which they'll most certainly need to do if they want either one of those guys), a guy like Logan could be a nice under-the-radar grab in the 2nd or 3rd, where they'd get raw, 1st round talent.

Feds estimate 257 whooping cranes in South Texas

AUSTWELL, Texas (AP) ? The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has used a new technique to estimate a South Texas whooping crane refuge has at least 257 birds.

Last year's flock in the primary survey area around Aransas (uh-RAN'-zuhs) National Wildlife Refuge numbered 283 birds.

The Victoria Advocate (http://bit.ly/15nCijQ ) reported Sunday that the counting system was changed after Tom Stehn (sten), who was the whooping coordinator for nearly 30 years, retired in 2012.

The federal agency in December used information on survey flights to estimate the size of the flock ? instead of a direct head count.

The 257 whooping cranes figure does not include as many as 11 percent more birds outside the survey area. The estimate was released Friday.

Tim Skubick: Can you prove that your business tax cut created one job?

John Nixon: Can I prove it? Uh, yeah. It?s created jobs. We have companies who have moved to Michigan, we have companies who have invested their money into creating jobs rather than sending money to government.

Skubick: And they have told that we did that because of your business tax cut?

Nixon: Um, they haven?t told me directly but I?m not interfacing with the businesses on a daily basis. But yes, Tim, if you have more money in your pocket that you?re investing in your company, I?ll bet we could go out and knock on any business door out there and they?ll tell you that, if they?ve hired over the past year, it?s because they?ve had more money to do it with.

Bill Ballenger: But you?re just assuming that?s the case without any direct evidence. You?re not getting reports from your economic development people running to you every day saying, ?By God, Mr. Nixon, thank you for doing this because this company created 43 jobs today because of??

Nixon: Well, we?ve added jobs, we?ve added jobs, and it?s directly to say ? is what you did a direct result of this, you know, I think that?s a very difficult thing to do. Nixon: ? but as the Budget Director? You need to get Mike Finney here who is the Director of Economic Development and he can bring all the data to show you. But, the thing is, Tim, The business taxes, they just took effect, too, so we need to, you know, it takes time to actually let these policies change. Again, it?s one of these things that, you take on these tough policy issues, the next day you?re not going to wake up ? I mean we pass this $1.2 billion for roads and we?re not going to wake up the next day and the roads are going to be plated in gold. I mean, it takes time to actually bend these curves. And the bottom line is, the different recruiting companies, the site selectors are all saying Michigan is much better poised for companies to move to our great state. Then we?ve got a great quality of life, we?ve got a good business tax structure now, we?ve got an abundance of natural resources, we?ve got 15 of the greatest institutions in the country, things are pretty good for Michigan and things are looking up.

Russian region begins recovery from meteor fall

CHELYABINSK, Russia (AP) ? A small army of workers set to work Saturday to replace the estimated 200,000 square meters (50 acres) of windows shattered by the shock wave from a meteor that exploded over Russia's Chelyabinsk region.

The astonishing Friday morning event blew out windows in more than 4,000 buildings in the region, mostly in the capital city of the same name and injured some 1,200 people, largely with cuts from the flying glass.

Forty of the injured remained hospitalized on Saturday, two of them in serious condition, the state news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing the regional health ministry.

Regional governor Mikhail Yurevich on Saturday said that damage from the high-altitude explosion ?estimated to have been as powerful as 20 Hiroshima bombs -- is estimated at 1 billion rubles ($33 million). He promised to have all the broken windows replaced within a week.

But that is a long wait in a frigid region. The midday temperature in Chelyabinsk was minus-12 C (10 F), and for many the immediate task was to put up plastic sheeting and boards on shattered residential windows.

More than 24,000 people, including volunteers, have mobilized in the region to cover windows, gather warm clothes and food and make other relief efforts, the regional governor's office said. Crews from glass companies in adjacent regions were being flown in.

In the town of Chebarkul, 80 kilometers (50 miles) west of Chelyabinsk city, divers explored the bottom of an ice-crusted lake looking for meteor fragments believed to have fallen there, leaving a six-meter-wide (20-foot-wide) hole. Emergency Ministry spokeswoman Irina Rossius told Russian news agencies the search hadn't found anything.

Police kept a small crowd of curious onlookers from venturing out onto the icy lake, where a tent was set up for the divers.

Many of them were still trying to process the memories of the strange day they'd lived through.

Valery Fomichov said he had been out for a run when the meteor streaked across the sky shortly after sunrise.

"I glanced up and saw a glowing dot in the west. And it got bigger and bigger, like a soccer ball, until it became blindingly white and I turned away," he said.

In a local church, clergyman Sexton Sergei sought to derive a larger lesson.

"Perhaps God was giving a kind of sign, so that people don't simply think about their own trifles on earth, but rather look to the heavens once in a while."

In Chelyabinsk, university student Ksenia Arslanova said she was pleased that people in the city of 1 million generally behaved well after the bewildering flash and explosions.

"People were kind of ironic about it. And that's a good thing, that people didn't run to the grocery store. Everyone was calm," the 19-year-old architecture student said. "I'm proud that our city didn't fall into depression."
